Top 25 accounting firm Withum has expanded its footprint in Baltimore through the acquisition of two practices.

The first acquisition includes the specialized health care assurance and risk consulting practice of TMDG. TMDG had merged with top 100 accounting firm PBMares, based in Newport News, VA, in January 2015 and became a subsidiary of PBMares. The second Withum acquisition is the tax and audit practice of PBMares, which is serviced out of the firm’s Baltimore location.

Both practices became a part of Withum on Aug. 1 and will remain in their current Baltimore office location.

The partners who will lead the new Withum office include Matt Dubnansky, Tim Heller, and Todd Levey.

“We are thrilled to have this highly esteemed team of professionals come on board,” Withum Managing Partner and CEO Pat Walsh said in a press release. “Their combined areas of expertise will greatly enhance our suite of services while strengthening Withum’s presence along the mid-Atlantic region.”

As a result of the acquisitions, Withum now has 24 offices in 13 states across the U.S., as well as two international offices.
